An update for the new year
We laid the foundations for some exciting work as we launch of the Missional Living Academy and several other projects moving forward for 2025.
Through my years of caregiving, I developed skills which have enabled my missional lifestyle. Over the past few years I have been mentoring and supporting a few others. This year, I want to take that training to a new level, so I am launching my Missional Living Academy.
Through this academy I hope to encourage and support people who want to live a life focused on serving others. The initial training will be in three primary areas.

I am starting a social media campaign on Monday with short videos about the training program.
Goiana, PE (Brazil) Lab Project Status
The electronic nose consulting project has been on hold while my client launches his business. That project was providing the main funding for our living expenses and the initial investment for the launch of the lab in Goiana. Even though the funding has been on hold, Renato and I have been laying some of the groundwork for the project. Renato has been brushing up on some of the data analysis skills. I am networking with the technology startup community here in Recife. I spoke to a few people last month at the technology hub. I have put together a group of translators who will help facility more of that networking.
I hope to launch a crowd sourced electronic nose system for caregivers in a few months, and I expect our first product launch in Brazil will be around the middle of the year.
The technology I am giving to the team here in Brazil is a complete automation management system including back-end architecture I have built over the years. Along with the front-end development frameworks with integrated data analysis system and IOT integration. I have used this infrastructure to build systems including:
websites and business management dashboards
sport/fitness tracking and analysis system
I am excited to see what they will build with this system.
Building an e-Nose Lab and Makerspace in Brazil
·First I want to share a little about who we are and why we are doing this…
Missional Living Mastermind
I will be hosting a weekly mastermind as part of the Missional Living Academy. This mastermind will be open to anyone who provides financial support. Whether as a monthly paid subscriber or as a one-time donation (link above).
The mastermind will focus on 4 themes, so each week of the month will correspond to one of these themes.
Digital Marketing and Content Creation
Missionary/Humanitarian Life
Life-work Integration
Community Development and Social Impact
Newsletter Plans
This year, I hope to be more consistent in my newsletter posting. I plan to post using the same theme schedule as I have listed for the mastermind.
Renato and Ingrid want to work on their English skills, so they are planning to run a regular post interviewing people in the community of Goiana. We hope to offer a monthly post highlighting life in the community. Renato’s first interview is Miguel, an at-risk youth, who we helped raise money to send to the regional Jiu Jitsu competition a few months ago. I don’t want to give too much away so you will have to wait for Renato’s post.
Thank you for reading and supporting my work.
The past year has been very foundational with some difficulties. I am excited to see what God does through us in 2025.
This is all very exciting! Can you explain a bit more about what the technology you're developing is for? What is an electronic nose platform? I see that it's something to do with caregiving, but can you elaborate for those of us who don't know much about this industry?
